Three Dragon football players are up for a chance to be named to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football’s 2021 Whataburger Super Team.
Senior defensive back Avyonne Jones, senior offensive lineman Joey Baker and senior wide receiver RJ Maryland are among the 300 players vying for a spot on the 40-man 2021 Whataburger Super Team. Voting is open through Dec. 31 and fans can vote an unlimited number of times.
“The amount of hard work and dedication these young players put into their sport is inspiring,” Whataburger director of sponsorships Jeff Altman says via its website. “Getting to celebrate and support these standout players is one of our great privileges — right up there with feeding and fueling our sports fans across Texas and beyond.”
Previous Dragons named to the Whataburger Super Team include wide receiver Brady Boyd from last year and defensive back RJ Mickens in 2019. Fans can vote for their Dragons now at TexasFootball.com.
