Once A Dragon, Always A Dragon
The CEF Superintendent’s Circle is excited to welcome Carroll ISD’s new superintendent, Dr. Lane Ledbetter!
“It is such an honor for me to be selected as the next superintendent of Carroll ISD, a district where I began as a young elementary student, graduated from high school in 1989 and served as a teacher early in my career,” says Dr. Ledbetter. “With the uncertainty of public education funding in Texas, the work the Carroll Education Foundation is doing to support our district and fund teachers is more important than ever before. I look forward to partnering with the foundation and its sponsors and donors to support current and future Dragons.”
Dr. Ledbetter has 27 years of total experience in education, the past eight of which were spent serving as a superintendent. He embodies the Dragon tradition of giving back and is known as a thoughtful and innovative leader with excellent communication skills and experience engaging staff, parents and students in the educational process.
Three years ago, CEF established a Superintendent’s Circle giving society, comprising philanthropic-minded community leaders who also live the tradition of what it means to be a Dragon. The Superintendent’s Circle is led by title sponsor, Sewell Automotive Companies. Since the company’s start in 1911, Sewell has had a rich history of giving back to the communities they serve.
“As a Dragon alum, I am especially proud to support Carroll ISD teachers through the Superintendent’s Circle,” says Daniella Giglio, Sewell's special events, sponsorships, and retail experience manager.
“Sewell’s Customers for Life' mission and values are a perfect fit for the CEF Superintendent’s Circle of giving. We are thrilled that they are leading the way in exemplifying 'The Tradition'” CEF is proud to welcome Sewell to our family,” says Rebecca Hindman, CEF board chair.
