After winning two games in the three-game series, Dragon Baseball is headed to the regional semifinals.
Playing against Odessa Permian, the Dragons won the first and the last games of the series.
Starting off strong, the team won the first game 5-1 with Max Reyes hitting during all four of his plate appearances and pitcher Griffin Herring only allowing four hits and recording seven strikeouts.
And though Dragon Baseball lost the second game 3-2, the team came back strong. They won the third game of the series 11-1, recording 11 hits while pitcher Nate Rusher only allowed four hits and recorded six strikeouts.
Now the Dragons are set to take on Marcus in the regional semifinals — a three game series set to begin on May 27 at Carroll Senior High School. The seniors on the team will graduate before the series begins and this will be the fourth consecutive season the team will be playing baseball after graduation under coach Larry Vucan.
