Even though she is just a sophomore, shining soccer star Kennedy Fuller recently announced her intention to commit to the University of North Carolina after graduation.
Both “The Dallas Morning News’” and Gatorade’s Texas Player of the Year, Fuller served a pivotal role in the Lady Dragons’ state championship win earlier this year, achieving a hat trick and scoring three of the Dragons’ four goals. Fuller will join the ranks of USWNT greats Mia Hamm, Tobin Heath and Heather O’Reilly and suit up for the Tarheels after she graduates from high school a year early.
“I knew I wanted to call UNC home the second I stepped on the campus,” Kennedy says via Twitter. “The history and the tradition of excellence of the UNC soccer program is second to none.”
