Cast & Crew of Grapevine Faith's production of Disney's High School Musical

Grapevine Faith Christian School is thrilled to announce that they will be streaming their movie-quality production of Disney’s High School Musical - stage version, to families across the globe December 19-20, 2020.

Auditions for the musical theatre production began in August when students returned to school for the first time since Spring Break. While auditions and rehearsals looked a bit different this year with masks and social distancing guidelines, the Creative Arts team at Grapevine Faith knew that a school-wide production was exactly what families needed to connect and celebrate together after so much time apart.

“We knew that this year would have to look different in the way that we showcased our incredible creative arts program,” said Creative Arts Director Scott Werntz. “In the midst of what challenged and jeopardized many of our local school’s musical productions, we took the opportunity to find inspiration through creativity and asking ‘what if?’”

In October, the main cast had the opportunity to record all songs from the musical in a professional recording studio. A twelve-person professional film crew then spent all week at Grapevine Faith capturing each scene from multiple angles to produce a full-length feature film from the stage, similar to how Hamilton brought Broadway directly into people’s homes this spring.
