Just two more weekends until Christmas! If you have already checked off all the holiday events on your to-do list, we have a few more for you to tack on. Here are a few family-friendly things happening this weekend.
The Texas Tenors – Deep In The Heart of Christmas
Celebrate the season listening to some of your favorite holiday tunes at The Texas Tenor’s Deep in the Heart of Christmas concert. The Emmy Award winners will be performing at The Palace Arts Center December 11 to 15 at 7:30 p.m. Audiences will love swaying along to favorites like “Oh Holy Night” while also jamming out to the group’s originals like “Bootdaddy.” It’s a great crowd pleaser for carol lovers of all ages.
Texas Christkindl Market
Still need to get in some Christmas shopping – or do all of it? Texas Christkindl Market at Texas Live! is full of unique finds for everyone on your list. Whether you are looking for handcrafted gifts or authentic German collectibles, they have vendors just waiting to wow you. The family-friendly shopping experience will get everyone excited about Christmas.
Holiday Bricktacular
This Saturday, LEGOLAND Discovery Center will host their Holiday Bricktacular from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests will be able to help construct a LEGO holiday quilt with their own mosaics, look out for Santa scenes throughout MINILAND and write a letter to Santa and drop it into the LEGO mailbox. It’s set to be an action-packed day, so be sure to pre-book your tickets online to ensure you’re a part of the fun.
Scuba Diving Santa
To see the big guy in person, and underwater, head over to SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday to visit a scuba diving Santa. Saint Nick and one of his elves will be posing alongside fish, sharks and stingrays in the aquarium’s 160,000-gallon ocean tank. It’s a fun twist on the classic photo op that your kids will remember for years to come.
“Home Alone” With Orchestra
If you watch “Home Alone” year after year, then you will love seeing this holiday classic come to life thanks to the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. This special performance, held at the Will Rogers Auditorium on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., marries Christmas cheer with beautiful music. It’s a great way to introduce your kids to an orchestra performance while still giving them a few laughs to enjoy along the way.
