Today, i Fratelli Pizza locations across North Texas– including those in Southlake and Flower Mound– are hosting a “doughnation.” Mention Metroport Meals on Wheels, and i Fratelli will donate 15 percent of your purchase to the nonprofit.
i Fratelli has been serving North Texas since 1987. The first location was in Irving, founded by four brothers, George, David, Mike and Darrell Cole. Known for its slogan, “Never trust a round pizza,” i Fratelli offers thin crust, rectangular-sliced pizzas with handcrafted dough. The daily-made dough is baked at high temperatures in stone deck overs, giving i Fratelli's pizza crusts that perfect texture. In fact, in February of 2014, Southlake residents voted the restaurant for “best delivery” in Southlake Style's hunt for the best pizza.
Metroport Meals on Wheels is a grassroots volunteer organization that provides hot meals to individuals who are elderly, chronically ill, homebound or otherwise unable to provide for themselves. The organization serves Tarrant, Denton and Wise counties. There are no age or income restrictions, though the organization is generally associated with senior citizens.
The nonprofit functions entirely off of donations, so your choice to eat pizza on Monday could mean another meal for someone in need.
