Mix-And-Match Mediterranean
CAVA Opens On Southlake Boulevard.
A new healthy fast-casual restaurant has made its way to Southlake: CAVA. After CAVA Group acquired Zoe’s Kitchen in 2018, the new Mediterranean concept has been hard at work converting select former Zoe’s locations into CAVA storefronts. And now, Southlake has one of its own.
“CAVA’s founding team includes three firstgeneration Greek Americans, so we’ve been rooted in the Mediterranean way since day one,” CAVA CEO and co-founder Brett Schulman says. “We founded CAVA with the goal of bringing Mediterranean to every table, because food should taste and make you feel good.”
After walking into the sleek bistro, first-time guests can come in and dip a warm pita into any one of CAVA’s delicious dips and spreads, from the roasted eggplant puree to the red pepper hummus to the Jalapeno-infused feta mousse. Next, diners can customize their main entree, with bases ranging from salads, mini pitas and grain bowls and toppings including different proteins, dips and dressings.
Fan-favorites include the hearty Chicken and RightRice Bowl topped with grilled chicken, tzatziki, crumbled feta and Greek vinaigrette, and the spicy Harissa Avocado Bowl with fire-grilled harissa honey chicken, fire-roasted corn, basmati rice and avocado. Diners with a hearty hankering can savor a pita stuffed with grilled meatballs and braised lamb, and the Lemon Chicken Bowl packs a sour punch thanks to New York Shuk’s preserved lemon vinaigrette. And handcrafted desserts such as chocolate fudge brownies and chocolate chip cookies ensure every meal ends with a sweet complement.
“We bring a fresh culinary perspective rooted in the bold flavors and wholesome ingredients of the Levant region of the Mediterranean,” Brett says. “Every aspect of CAVA’s experience is designed to meet the evolving needs and wants of our guests to bring the Mediterranean way of life to more people.”
Whether you indulge in the homemade chickpea falafels or the roasted white sweet potatoes, fresh, nutritious options are waiting to be enjoyed over at CAVA.
