Rodeo Bar Reopens At The Adolphus.

Dallas’ iconic Rodeo Bar is back in action. Originally opening in 1981, the tavern served guests for over four decades before it closed in 2018 for renovations, according to a press release.
Now with an updated interior and menu, Rodeo Bar is honoring the spirit of Texas with its dishes, drinks and live entertainment.
“Reopening a legacy bar with an already built-in narrative, it was critical that we preserve and honor the heart and soul of the original concept,” says Justin Fields, Makeready senior vice president of restaurants, bars and retail. “Quite literally we asked ourselves, ‘How do we retain the past while setting the stage for the next 40 years?’”
Seating 95 patrons, Rodeo Bar features new and vintage booths, tables and seats with an expansion in The Back Room, where live music plays every Friday and Saturday night.
Whether you decide to start the night off with a cocktail, beer or glass of wine, Rodeo Bar has options that will keep things fresh with every visit. Try the Rodeo ‘Rita, made with tequila, Cointreau, lime and a tajin rim, or the Stetson Slinger, which features whiskey, lemon, orgeat syrup and sugar. The tavern also boasts a handful of beer and wine varieties, from Corona and Budweiser to rose wine and cabernet sauvignon.
“We loved the idea of an old-school Texas tavern where you walk up, order swiftly and get back to eating and drinking,” Justin says. “This is a no-nonsense bar with friendly service serving approachable fare influenced by Tex-Mex and traditional Texas cuisine.”
Glorifying everything Texan, Rodeo Bar features a number of familiar dishes, including chopped beef, carne asada steak, pecan-smoked pork belly burnt ends and the Hook ‘Em burger — a beef patty with bacon, crispy fried onion, American cheese, pickles and Rodeo Bar’s specialty sauce. Its desserts also harken back to Lone Star classics like banana pudding, soft serve ice cream and a pie of the day.
So whether you want to celebrate your Texas roots, relax while listening to live music or simply soak in the vibes of the Lone Star State, Rodeo Bar is awaiting your arrival.
