Cane Rosso
Pizza lovers soon won’t have to travel so far to enjoy Cane Rosso’s pies. The Neapolitan-style pizzeria is opening a location in Arlington this fall.
Known for their thin-crust pizzas made in wood-fired ovens, Cane Rosso is a Dallas staple for pizza lovers. Their 14-inch pies are prepared in typical Neapolitan fashion and cook for less than 90 seconds at 900 degrees.
This will be Cane Rosso’s first move into Arlington, and owner Jay Jerrier credits another local business for getting them excited about the new venture.
“The guys at Legal Draft Brewing have been selling us on Arlington for literally years,” Jay says. “We finally went over and had a tour with the developer of the Urban Union project and got a feel for what they were trying to accomplish. We really liked the mix of businesses that they were putting together as well as the vision for the area."
While it may be smaller than some of their other locations spread throughout Texas, sitting at 3,200 square feet, Jay says he had a good feeling about their new space.
“We really liked the vibe of the building as it is an old radiator shop with cool brick walls and some giant windows,” he explains. “It will also have a huge wrap around patio.”
And Jay says he’s excited about the potential of the area’s future.
“They are building it to be a very cool walkable area for locals – not just for tourists or relying on being busy for events at the stadiums.”
Cane Rosso might be most well known for their pies, but Jay says their new food program really amps up other Italian favorites.
“Of course we’ll have all of our pizzas, but our new Chief Culinary Officer, Jeff Bekavac, has really expanded our menu beyond just being a ‘pizza place,’” Jay says. “All our pasta is fresh and we have a lot of great new appetizers and salads.”
Their other Metroplex locations are in Deep Ellum, White Rock, Carrollton, Frisco and Fort Worth if you want to get a taste of their dishes before their new space opens.
