A new Cork & Pig Tavern restaurant will be opening in the space that used to be Herencia Texican Cuisine, according to a press release.
After Herencia closed in the Shops of Southlake earlier in June, many residents were looking forward to which concept would fill the 4,219-square-foot space at 1431 E. Southlake Blvd. In a press release, the Weitzman Group announced that it would occupy the space adjacent to Mesero, another new restaurant that will be opening later this year.
“Shops of Southlake, with the addition of Cork & Pig Tavern and Mesero joining our popular mainstays like Bone Fish Grill and Coal Vines, offers a complementary mix of dining concepts unique in the market,” David Palmer, Weitzman’s executive vice president of development, says via press release.
Cork & Pig Tavern is a chef-driven restaurant that combines wood-fired meats, gourmet salads and an array of signature entrees, sandwiches and appetizers into a brilliant blend of fine dining, according to a press release. All of its dishes are complemented by expansive wine selections, craft beers and specialty cocktails made in-house.
