Managed by Coury Hospitality, Grapevine’s Hotel Vin has quickly become the go-to spot for unique culinary experiences, top-shelf drinks and nights that last beyond 10 p.m. The stunning 120-room boutique hotel is part of the Autograph Collection, so you know it provides the perfect backdrop for a night out with family and friends. If that wasn't enough, the hotel’s latest concept WineYard Grille + Bar was recently unveiled to the public.
The team that brought you Bacchus Kitchen + Bar and the Magnum Speakeasy have teamed with executive chef Juan Pablo Silva to put a new twist on the outdoor patio overlooking Grapevine’s Vintage Railroad. The plush, turfed area set aglow with strings of warm Edison bulbs and seasonal outdoor heaters is an enticing spot to enjoy a cocktail and live music on cooler nights. The addition of WineYard Grille + Bar elevates the al fresco experience on the expansive north lawn.
Texas meets Mediterranean-style barbecue in the form of smoked meats and rich, flavorful sides in this casual, yet refined space that is also pet friendly. The fusion fun starts with the old faithful Texas trio of pork ribs, beef brisket and whole chickens fresh off the smoker. Diners can then choose from a variety of sauces with a European influence. The Roquefort sauce brings in elements of a French-style blue cheese while the spicier Brava sauce hails from Spain. Of course, purists will also be able to compare Silva’s barbecue sauce and see how it differs from their personal favorites.
Great barbecue needs elevated sides, and Silva brought his A-game with down-home yet inventive takes like the Black Truffle Manchego Fries and Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese amongst others.
This hotel works well under pressure, even if it is self-induced with a name like “Vin” in a town called Grapevine. WineYard and the entire property delights in offering an extensive list of national and international wines. Get a worldly vibe from Tuscan Sangiovese and Bordeaux varietals served by the glass, or stay closer to home with a California Cabernet.
Others can choose to get in the spirit with a Caramel Apple Mule made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, caramel syrup, apple cider and ginger beer. The appropriately-named Midnight Train blends rye, amaro, montenegro, sweet vermouth and chocolate orange bitters in a cocktail that is bound to warm you up in the event the lively atmosphere and patio heaters do not.
