Pour Decisions
Lux-Lounge Vibe Meets Suburbia At Social Oak.
Decorative globe chandeliers, wisps of gold-chained curtains and plush velvet panels surround a custom VIP banquette with the phrase “make pour decisions” in neon overhead. Yes, this lounge looks and feels like a place from your urban nightlife dreams. However, you don’t have to drive to Dallas or Fort Worth, because this luxurious lounge vibe is now ready and waiting in Trophy Club.
Great times at Social Oak are all centered around state-of-the-art wine and whiskey self-serve machines that dispense 56 wines and 28 whiskeys by the pour. If you’re curious to see if you like a Barolo from Italy before committing to a full glass, then try a 1-ounce pour. The same goes for hard-to-find whiskeys from around the world. New to Japanese whisky? Sip an ounce of an 18-year-old Yamazaki and find out for yourself.
“During my travels, I had stumbled upon some amazing wine bars, and there was one in particular that had the wine pouring machines,” Social Oak owner Vinh Le says of the inspiration behind the concept. “I fell in love with the social aspect of walking up to the machines and talking to people about the wines. I also loved being able to try a small pour before committing to a full glass or bottle. I chose to open the first location in Trophy Club because we have so many sophisticated wine and whiskey drinkers in the area, and it’s hard to find an upscale lounge without having to drive to Dallas or Fort Worth.”
Knowledgeable bartenders are also ready to pour you something even more special from Social Oak’s full list of more than 250 wines and nearly 100 expressions of scotch, bourbon, rye and other spirits. Because any good drink deserves a flavorful bite, head chef Nga Vu has created a menu of shareable plates. Nga has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry and pulls inspiration from her travels to create such standout items as Wild Burgundy Escargot, Japanese Pork Belly Buns and Truffle Deviled Eggs amongst other delectable dishes.
For a modest rideshare fee less than the cost of a drink in the city, you can sip from premier wines and whiskeys selected by a team of sommeliers and still get home at a reasonable hour.
