Still Crisp & Green
Former Bank Now Serves Fresh And Flavorful Fare.
Brightly colored fruits, vegetables, marinated proteins and fresh herbs line the prep station. They are chopped, diced and sliced daily to bring the freshest ingredients of which Crisp & Green prides itself.
The healthy, fast-casual eatery creates its marinades, dressings and drinks in-house, making it a standout among its competitors. The Agua Frescas are self-serve from containers along the wall and are emulsified fruits sweetened with Agave. Try the blueberry mint or pineapple ginger flavors for a refreshing drink.
Crisp & Green stands apart from similar venues with its 12 chef-curated bowls, nine warm protein options and an abundance of hot and cold toppings. From grains to greens, the flavor combinations are a medley of healthy choices.
Its seasonal menu reflects the best flavors of every season, like strawberries as part of its summer menu bowls and root veggies that will debut on the fall menu this month. Popular classics include the “Bowl In The Buffalo,” constructed of buffalo chicken and warm cauliflower over brown rice. A lighter seafood option is the zesty “Thai And Stop Me” bowl, which tops mixed greens with shrimp, crisp veggies and drizzled in a tangy Thai peanut dressing. Expect to see an apple cider-style Fresca on the fall menu, along with seasonal squash bowls or the Wild Child dotted with Brussels sprouts.
One whimsical perspective to moving into the former bank building, what used to be the teller window in their drive-through now provides a behind-the-scenes view into the cooler of ingredients. The repurposed four-lane drive-through was transformed into an inviting outdoor bistro-style patio area that seats 40 and is equipped year-round with fans and heaters.
Blake Graves, the local franchise owner, prides himself on offering a fast, healthy food option in the community and takes it a step further by partnering with like-minded fitness businesses by hosting weekend fitness classes in the parking lot and replenishing after with a “Protein Power Play” acai bowl.
Next time you drive by Crisp & Green on Southlake Boulevard, drive through for a fruit smoothie to try the “Date Night Smoothie” blended with banana, Medjool dates, almond butter, cacao nibs and vanilla pea protein. Or how about a chilled bowl layered with acai sorbet, banana, strawberries, blueberries, kiwi and granola aptly named “Acai Ya Later?”
