Chef Point Cafe Colleyville
Chef Point Cafe first gained attention because of its flagship’s unorthodox location – inside a Conoco gas station. But its second restaurant, which opened in Colleyville in September, impressed both regulars and newcomers with its breezy interior. Come for the Bloody Best Bloody Mary, an enlarged brunch drink that includes fried chicken, a slider, waffle fries, grilled shrimp, jalapeno pepper, a pickle spear and bacon, and stay for the freshly made bread pudding.

HG Sply Co.
It’s hard to miss the sleek eatery that opened in Trophy Club off Highway 114 in August. The 25,000-square-foot-location is just the third Hg Sply Co. to open in the Metroplex, and it’s by far the largest. Other than its size, the Trophy Club location is unique because it blends HG Sply Co.‘s traditional menu with the company’s sister concept: Hero, a modern sports bar that opened in Dallas in May. So guests can choose to eat clean or dive into a more indulgent dish.

Johnny B's Burgers & Shakes
Southlake’s iconic burger joint reopened in 2019 after closing last year. Johnny B’s Burgers and Shakes rejoined the Southlake dining scene in August under new ownership, but it still offers the same beloved menu. Johnny B’s originally opened in 2004 and served messy classics like the Dragon Burger, a triple cheeseburger with jalapenos and chili, and the Sloppy John, chili on a signature bun. The new owners have brought in a few new options, like the Beyond Burger patty and grilled chicken strips, but the restaurant still excludes that classic diner feel.
