Redrock Canyon Grill isbrgiving churchgoers a reason to dine out on Sundays. The Southlake restaurant rolledbrout its “Sewing Seeds Back into the Church” program, which allows patrons tobrbring a church bulletin to the restaurant or write the name of a church onbrtheir meal receipt on any Sunday. The restaurant then donates 10 percent of thebrtotal bill to the respective church. Southlake is one of six locations in thebrOklahoma-based restaurant chain and is the only site currently practicing thisbrpolicy of giving.
“We care about thebrcommunity and we want to give back. It's a way for us to stay connected to ourbrcustomers,” said Kelli Grimes, proprietor of the Southlake location. So far, thebrrestaurant has received donation requests for more than 30 churches in Southlake,brGrapevine, Keller and Colleyville.
Redrock Canyon Grillbrwaits for a single church's donation requests to add up to $50 before donatingbrthat amount to the church and starting the cycle again.
