Roanoke is bringing the bands, the beer and the barbecue to the unique dining capital of Texas next month.
Launching its inaugural festival last year, the For The Love Of BBQ Pitmaster Showcase is an epic barbecue event that features barbecue of Texas-sized proportions. The second annual event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 12 at Historic Oak Street and will feature over 20 renowned pitmasters, including many that were featured in “Texas Monthly’s” Top 50 Texas BBQ Joints list.
Admission includes a special cooking class with “Food Network” pitmaster Brendan Lamb, a Q&A with celebrity pitmasters, drinks, games, an event T-shirt and unlimited bites of delicious barbecue, according to the city of Roanoke’s website. Tickets are $85 each and can be purchased online at RoanokeTexas.com.
