Shop while supporting a good cause by checking out Kendra Give Back on August 13 from 5 to 8 p.m., which benefits the Miss Southlake Scholarship Organization. Guests will have a chance to shop the jewelry store’s latest collection, which launched on August 7, and meet several special guests like Miss Texas 2019 Chandler Foreman, Miss Southlake 2019 Taylor Kilpatrick and Miss Southlake’s Outstanding Teen 2019 Dana Friend.
The group’s executive director Danae Couch Lowe says that this event was a perfect partnership because the two organizations share similar philosophies.
“Miss America Organization is founded on four points of the crown: style, service, success and scholarship. Similarly, Kendra Scott is founded on fashion, family and philanthropy,” Danae says. “Since our organizations overlap in our passions for style/fashion and service/philanthropy, I thought it would be a natural partnership. We are thrilled to be partnering with a company grounded in ideals so close to our own.”
The Miss Southlake Scholarship Competition will receive 20% of all shopping proceeds from the event.
“As a Miss America local franchise, the Miss Southlake Scholarship Competition is dedicated to providing educational assistance to young women,” Danae says. “We are always looking for initiative ways to increase the amount of scholarship we are able to make available to our candidates each year through fundraisers and community outreach. “
This is all before the organization hosts Miss Southlake 2020 on Saturday, August 17, so this will be one of the final performances for Taylor and Dana in their current positions.
“We are excited to welcome the community to see what our organization is all about,” Danae says.
So come out to meet the night’s special guests or to get a look at what’s new at Kendra Scott.
