Seller Soiree 2022
The Family Place celebrated and honored Partners Card sellers and sponsors in Highland Park Village last month.
The Dallas-based family violence advocacy agency, The Family Place, is gearing up for another exciting year and the 30th anniversary of Partners Card with their annual Seller Soirée. This year’s event took place at Tory Burch in Highland Park Village on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
Not only did the event kick off the Partners Card selling season, but it also recognized the 2022 card sellers and sponsors that have made this premier 10-day shopping fundraiser a success for the last 30 years. A special anniversary Pearl Card was also announced for sale. This $500 Pearl Card is limited to only 300 and offers numerous perks, including a year of free valet at NorthPark Center. Both the Partners Card and the Pearl Card can be purchased here.
Partners Card co-chairs Andrea Cheek, Wynne McNabb Cunningham, Hannah Fagadau, Lisa Hewitt and Honorary Chair Paula Davis mingled with 50 guests in attendance. Sellers picked up their packets and connected with fellow Partners Card supporters. Guests shopped the new Tory Sport pop-up while enjoying champagne and bites provided by Lombardi's. A percentage of all Tory Burch sales from the evening benefited The Family Place.
The Family Place CEO Mimi Crume Sterling, Melissa Keeling from Partners Card’s lead sponsor, Bank of Texas, and this year’s committee chairs spoke about the impact that Partners Card has on the programs of The Family Place. The funds raised have been critical to supporting the life-saving services for survivors of domestic violence.
“The mission of ending family violence is something that needs to be talked about, and a mission Bank of Texas is honored to support,” Melissa says. “One in three adults in Texas will experience family violence at some point in their lifetime. Someone is safe tonight because of supporters of Partners Card. One Partners Card for $75 covers the cost of a one-night stay at The Family Place.”
This year’s Partners Card is a landmark year celebrating 30 years of saving money and lives. Partners Card has become an important fundraiser for The Family Place and a highly-anticipated shopping event in Dallas. Since its launch in 1993 with founding chairs Sally Hoglund and Sally Johnson, the fundraising program has grown from 150 participating stores raising $90,000 to more than 715-plus participating retailers raising over $1 million annually. To date, Partners Card has raised more than $20 million for The Family Place.
