If you want a fun and educational activity for kids this summer, head out to the Sea Life Grapevine Aquarium. This aquarium has 16 interactive zones for kids to look at and learn about sea life, like seahorses, jellyfish, sharks and turtles. Tickets can be bought online, starting at $18 for adults and $15 for children ages 3 to 12. Kids under 3 can get in free and standard entry tickets include feeding demonstrations and the interactive touch pool. So head out to the aquarium for a cool, educational activity this summer.
Playgrounds are great for kids and they get even better when they are inside in the air conditioning. So take your kid to the Luv 2 Play Indoor Playground this summer for some air-conditioned fun. This playground in Grapevine caters to children of all ages and abilities. Tickets range from free to $15 depending on age and the day you go, with toddler and baby areas, a build area that has a sandbox and a quiet area for parents that has free wifi and a cafe. What kid doesn’t love Peppa Pig? Now kids can be a part of Peppa’s world at Peppa Pig’s World of Play in Grapevine. This attraction, designed for children ages 8 and under, has 14 themed areas from the show for kids to immerse themselves in. Tickets can be bought online starting at $22.50 and Peppa Pig’s World of Play is open 7 days a week so there is ample opportunity to fit this activity into your summer schedule.
Hawaiian Falls Waterpark Roanoke
Waterparks are a must during the summer so head out to the Hawaiian Falls Waterpark in Roanoke for some summer fun. As always there is a wave pool and lazy river for those chill waterpark goers but there are also a variety of different slides and rides if you are looking for something to get your heart racing. Kids two and under are free and day tickets are $28.99 for adults and $20.99 for kids under 48 inches tall. If you know a waterpark is going to be a regular event this summer, season passes start at $75 and are valid for all the Hawaiian Falls Waterpark locations.
Escape rooms are always fun and at the Red Door Escape Room in Southlake, all ages are welcome to try and escape. There are six escape rooms for participants to choose from, all ranging in difficulty and theme. In the “Once Upon a Time” room, participants must break into Rumpelstiltskin’s castle to find missing artifacts while the “Prison Break” tasks participants with breaking out of a prison before time runs out. Red Door Escape Room also has virtual reality games if you’re looking for more than a traditional escape room. Tickets range from $20 to $32 per person depending on the room you want to do.
Kids have what seem like endless amounts of energy so if you’re looking to tire them out, take them to Urban Air Adventure Park in Southlake. This adventure park has everything from trampoline areas and dodgeball to an indoor playground and a ropes course. There are also climbing walls, go-karts, bumper cars and virtual reality. And for children 7 and under, they have their own trampoline zone they can enjoy. Tickets range from $5 to $50 depending on the specific attractions kids want to do and waivers will need to be signed before kids can indulge in the wide variety of activities Urban Air has.
