A burst of color is about to come to North Texas thanks to the Tulipalooza festival. Next month, the city of Waxahachie will host the fourth annual floral forward event which organizers have been working on since late last year.
Starting in December, hundreds of thousands of tulip bulbs were imported from Holland and planted at the Waxahachie Civic Center. Now they are about to bloom into a stunning display of colors ready for your favorite photo moment. The tulip festival takes place from March 17th to 26th. Tickets are $15 per adult, $5 for children 5-12 and 50% of ticket sales go back to local charities.
At checkout, ticket holders can choose from over a dozen local charity partners to benefit from their purchase. Organizations include the YMCA, Goodwill of Dallas, Special Olympics Texas, Easterseals Lonestar, To Be Like Me and more.
"This festival is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the beauty of nature while supporting local charities," festival organizer Kari Zerbe says. "We are proud to be able to contribute to the amazing work these charities do, and hope the community will come out in force to show their support."
There will be plenty of food, drink and entertainment for everyone to enjoy and children under five get in for free.
