During a period of heightened anxiety and concern surrounding COVID-19, patients are looking for a medical team that they can rely on for safe, quality and compassionate care. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine is an award-winning medical center you can trust to provide just that.
A part of the community since 1953, Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine provides one of the best hospital experiences in the country. Earlier this year, the facility earned several accolades for its outstanding, personalized patient care, including:
- Five Star Quality Rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
- Top 100 Hospital by IBM Watson
- Gold-level Healing Hospital by the Erie Chapman Foundation
- Grade A patient safety rating from the Leapfrog Group
“We are the only hospital in the country that received all four of those recognitions for care, experience and quality this year,” President Chris York says. “We have high expectations for our team, and they consistently deliver some of the best care in the United States. We are certainly not perfect, but we’re chasing it.”
Before the pandemic hit in March, Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine was already one of the safest hospitals in the nation due to its high-quality care and cleaning practices. The hospital became even safer with the implementation of its Safe Care initiatives, which consists of additional preventative measures to keep patients and team members safe from COVID-19. Some of these measures include screenings, temperature checks and mask requirements for anyone who enters the building.
“There’s a real hesitance in the communities we serve to call 911 because some people are afraid to come to the hospital," Chris says. "Even though there are sick people here, you’re far better off coming to the hospital than you would be the grocery store or a restaurant because our team members are trained in sterile technique and infectious disease isolation. We don’t want people to delay health care. It could mean the difference between a painful bout of appendicitis or a ruptured appendix, a headache versus a stroke, mild tightness in one’s chest or a heart attack.”
With 2,000 people working around the clock to deliver care uniquely tailored to your needs, Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine is committed to delivering excellence from the front door to the bedside, getting you back to living your life.
“Everything we do starts and ends with love for one another," Chris says. "Whether you’re a hostess delivering meals, a surgeon in the operating room or a marketing leader, each of us has a different lens on how we approach health care. But it takes all of us to create the best experience possible for every patient that walks through our doors.”
