The Alzheimer's Association's Walk to End Alzheimer's is a united movement to reclaim the future for millions. Walk to End Alzheimer's will take place on October 5, 2013 at AT&T Plaza at American Airlines Center inDallas. Nearly 5000 people are expected at this year’s event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease.
The opening ceremony of the Dallas Walk to End Alzheimer's will begin at 8:30 a.m. This year the Alzheimer's Association is fortunate to have the support of our presenting sponsor Senior Care Centers, WFAA and honorary co-chairs Ebby Halliday and Mary Frances Burleson. WFAA will broadcast the opening ceremony and will host a phone bank from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's participants will participate in a 5k and will learn more about Alzheimer's disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical trial enrollment, and support programs and services of the Alzheimer's Association. Each walker will also join in a meaningful tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer's disease.
The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
