For the past 17 years, ParkbrPlace Dealerships has teamed up with Children's Health to serve children andbrtheir families. During this time, Park Place has supported Children's throughbrthe Red Balloon Run & Ride and numerous other events.
Most recently, Park PlacebrVolvo was the presenting sponsor of the Children's Trust Membership Drive andbrhosted the annual reception. Inclusive of their support, a $90,000 check wasbrpresented to Children's Health that evening. Park Place has contributed morebrthan $418,000 to Children's Health over the years.
“As the populationbrcontinues to grow in North Texas and more families with children move to thisbrregion, the scope of our mission and depth of need will increasebrexponentially,” said Brent Christopher, president of Children's Medical CenterbrFoundation, in a press release. “The health care industry is also changing at abrrapid pace, placing many demands on our limited resources. Support from ParkbrPlace not only helps us fund critical programs, but also introduces us to newbrfriends and potential supporters.”
For more than 100 years, brthe mission of Children's Health has been to make life better for children. Inbr1913, a group of nurses organized the Dallas Baby Camp, an open-air clinic onbrthe lawn of Parkland Hospital. Today Children's Health is the eighth-largestbrpediatric health care provider in the country, and the only academicallybraffiliated pediatric hospital in the area.
“Children's Health isbrvital to the well-being of North Texas families,” said Ken Schnitzer, founderbrand chairman of Park Place Dealerships. “They provide the gold standard ofbrhealth care while being mindful to support the entire family during thebrprocess. We have enjoyed this long relationship with Children's and lookbrforward to working together for many more years to promote better health andbrhealing for children and their families.
Children's Health is thebrleading pediatric health care system in North Texas, providing a full spectrumbrof health care services—from daily wellness and primary care to specialtybrvisits and critical care.
“What's more importantbrthan making a difference in the health and life of a child?” asked Christopher.br“The support of companies like Park Place can have a ripple effect on ourbrregion's children and families for generations to come. Our mission of makingbrlife better for children is a worthy cause, encompassing three C's: Care, Curesbrand Community. We provide world-class care for our patients while supportingbrand educating the family. We actively pursue improved treatments and curesbrthrough research conducted in our hospitals and in scientific labs inbrcollaboration with our academic partners at UT Southwestern. And finally, webrwork with community leaders and other non-profits throughout the region tobrimprove the lives of children where they live, learn and play.”
