Why Family Concierge?

It’s 10:00 a.m. on Friday, and your high school student just came down with the strep throat. To complicate things more, final exams are next week. You phone the family physician you have had for years, and the first appointment you can get is next Tuesday. You end up waiting hours at the emergency room or you traipse over to the nearest doc-in-a-box to get a prescription from a physician you've never met before. Sound familiar?
When Executive Medicine of Texas opened its doors a dozen years ago, the focus was on executives and their health. What time and experience have come to prove is that the executive’s spouse and children are just as important. When the family is healthy, things are good.
Family concierge programs are rare, but the benefits are beyond measure. A good family concierge plan will cover a half-day physical examinations for both the parents and the child or children, as well as laboratory testing, imaging, routine vaccinations and primary care appointments throughout the year.
Some concierge programs, like the one offered at Executive Medicine of Texas, also offer each member an additional membership for MedJet Assist, a program that provides air medical transfer if hospitalized more than 150 miles from home. For families that travel or college kids, this benefit brings great peace of mind.
Now, reimagine how that 10:00 a.m. Friday call to your doctor could have gone. As a concierge member, you could have called the office or, better yet, your doctor’s personal cell phone number. Your child would have been seen that day and well on their way to recovery. Since you caught it early, the rest of the family limited their exposer and remained healthy.
You go first-class everywhere else. Isn’t it about time you went first-class with your health?
