Tom Klein, the CEO ofbrSouthlake-based Sabre Corporation, a leading provider of technology to thebrglobal travel and tourism industry and one of the happiest companies in America, is leaving his role at the end of the year to turn his “personalbrattention to new opportunities,” according to a story on Forbes.com.
Klein is working to savebrhis alma mater, Queen of Peace High School in New Jersey. The Catholic schoolbrhas recently been targeted for closing by the Newark Archdiocese. Klein isbrcontributing $250,000 to help save the school, according to Forbes.com.
“I am sure that mybrpositive experience at Queen of Peace is not unique among my fellow alumni,” Kleinbrsaid in the story. “Inspired by its dedicated teaching staff, I am compelledbrto give back, honor them, and contribute to the school's future so that manybrmore students will have a chance to be educated and formed by them. I encouragebrall alumni and friends of Queen of Peace High School to do the same and givebrgenerously to the Save QPHS campaign.”
Klein hasbrworked at Sabre for more than two decades. He became president in 2010 afterbrserving as executive vice president of Sabre Holdings.
“We have transformedbrSabre into a dynamic software company and the business is positioned forbrcontinued consistent growth, so my successor will have a strong hand to play,”brsaid Klein in a press statement.
