FÜDTRUKY may have a new date, but the food festival will still showcase all the event’s scheduled acts. We will kick off the party Sunday morning and keep the TÜNs playing until the party stops.
Leading us off will be the singer/songwriter Devin Leigh. The Fort Worth guitarist will be taking the stage at 11:30 a.m. and will captivate the early crowd with his dynamic solo performance that he describes as a mix between the White Stripes and Johnny Cash.
When asked what he was most excited about for FÜDTRUKY, Devin simply said, “Just playing music for the fine city of Southlake!”
Next to the stage is Doug Kent, a Texas native who describes his sound as homegrown country that’s fun and upbeat. And his originals will even have non-country music lovers tapping their toes. He has been playing music since he joined his church’s choir at 11, and started writing at the age of 12.
“Music is pretty much all I’ve ever wanted to do,” Doug says. “Nothing is better than getting on stage and performing.” Catch Doug when his act takes over FÜDTRUKY at 1:30 p.m.
School of Rock, a fan favorite from last year, is next with our 2:45 p.m. slot. The Southlake/Keller music group gives kids the chance to pick up skills in a fun environment. These young rockers really brought it last year, and we can’t wait to see what they can do this time around.
The famous Dan Quinn, who also performed during our first FÜDTRUKY, will take the stage at 3:30 p.m. The Southlake sensation is known for his multi-instrumental arrangements of popular songs served with a twist. His mixes are sure to get the energy pumping as people enjoy their day out on the town.
“I’m so excited that a great festival like this is happening right here in Southlake,” Dan says. “There are so many great bands playing this year, so I’m planning to check them out before and after my set as well- with a cold local brew of course!”
LIVE80, the high-energy ’80s party band from Dallas, will perform at 5:30 p.m. Their set will include everything from new wave music to pop favorites to hair metal bangers, so you won’t want to miss their lively show.
When asked what they are most excited about, the band said, "We are excited about the food and the '80s party!"
And, to send us off, our headliner Blaze of Glory will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Their stylistic Bon Jovi experience draws from the 25 years of hits from the global superstar and promises to make you feel like you are experiencing the real thing.
The band says they are excited to join in on the fun and experience everything that will make this event special.
“First off, we are HUGE fans of Shannon Brewery and are certainly looking forward to pairing selections of their brews with some of the wonderful FÜDTRUKY,” singer Trae Doss says. “Secondly we can't wait to get up and rock out with all the great people that we know will be supporting this event!”
So whether you come out to enjoy the entire set list or pop in to see a few performances, this year’s FÜDTRUKY is set to bring rocking TÜNs all day long. Mark down June 23 on your calendar for FÜDTRUKY because you won't want to miss it.
*This event was originally scheduled on May 11 but will now be hosted on June 23*
