Following a keynote address from AT&T Business CEO Anne Chow on what it means to lead courageously, attendees at Southlake Style’s fifth annual Women’s Luncheon, presented by Texas Health Southlake, will enjoy a panel discussion featuring local residents.
Stephanie Hays, Donna James-Harvey and Artemis Kourosh will be our panelists while Anne moderates the discussion. Attendees will also have the opportunity to submit questions for our panelists prior to the luncheon.
Stephanie Hays
Born and raised in Arlington, Stephanie Hays graduated with a degree in finance from the University of Texas at Arlington. She and her husband Michael moved to Southlake seven years ago to raise their sons, James and Kade, who attend Walnut Grove Elementary School. Active in the world of Dragon youth sports — specifically the strokes team, baseball, lacrosse and Dragon Youth Football — Stephanie is also involved in the community at large. She works with Mission Arlington, served on GRACE Grapevine’s board and chaired its 2017 Gala and is a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council at UT-Arlington. Working as a financial advisor for over 13 years, Stephanie has built a retirement planning practice that has served over 2,000 clients and handled $150 million in assets.
Donna James-Harvey
After a career in retail and merchandising, Donna James-Harvey’s desire to help people led her to earn a master’s degree in behavioral science from Southern Methodist University, after which she turned to education and nonprofit work. 15 years ago, after spending time working at Northern Virginia Family Service, Donna and her husband moved with their two daughters to Southlake, where she immediately joined The Ladder Alliance in Fort Worth and Girls Inc. of Tarrant County. With a passion for advancing racial equity, advocating for marginalized groups and championing the rights of women and girls, Donna currently serves as the liaison for the Fund To Advance Racial Equity at the North Texas Community Foundation and is a founding member of the Village Giving Circle at Texas Women’s Foundation. She enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family in her spare time.
Artemis Kourosh
An estate planning, business law and probate attorney, Artemis Kourosh received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and received her law degree from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. After graduating from SMU, Artemis traveled to Beijing, China where she taught law, language and business at two universities. She now is a partner at Pilat and Kourosh Law. Having lived in Southlake since 2000, Artemis has a 12-year-old son who has hiked hundreds of miles and visited 30 national parks with her. Another one of Artemis’ passions is educating women about the law, and she has also worked with the Dallas Dinner Table. A refugee as a child, Artemis says she hopes to bring a diverse perspective to the panel discussion as someone who has lived in many countries and has a breadth of experiences that informs her perspectives.
